Did you know The Alander is super close to three gorgeous waterfalls ready for you to explore?

High Falls is Columbia County’s tallest waterfall at over a hundred feet tall. The easy tree-shaded hiking trail is just .6 miles to the falls. Multiple trails offer different vantage points as well.

Bash Bish Falls is Massachusetts’ tallest waterfall with its trailhead starting in Copake Falls NY. The falls are made up of a series of cascades, nearly 200 feet in total. The final cascade is split into twin falls by a jutting rock, dropping in a 59-foot “V” over boulders to a serene pool below. The easy 3/4 mile hike follows a beautiful river, starting on the NY side and crossing the state border mid hike.

A little more challenging of a hike is Race Brook Falls in Sheffield, Mass. Three miles of trail, it consists of three beautiful tiers of cascading waterfalls to explore.

Also, all trails are pup friendly as long as they are leashed! 🐾 For more detailed information, check out the Explore section of our website to help plan your trip.

Happy exploring!

As our region begins to come alive with little pops of green and the sounds of nature, one of our other favorite harbingers of spring is the upcoming annual workshop festival aptly named The Workshop Experience. This May 10th and 11th, is a weekend full of fun, interactive and informative classes of a wide variety by some of the best around to teach them. It’s a perfect reason for a weekend getaway. We only have a few rooms left that weekend, so snag them before they’re gone! And be sure to visit them online to browse the workshops and book one today!
