"Our wedding at Copperhill Cabins was everything we could have dreamed of and more. From the moment we arrived, we knew we had found something truly special. Lesa and Everett were absolutely incredible. Their kindness, communication, and genuine care made the entire experience stress-free and enjoyable. They went above and beyond in every way to ensure our wedding week was perfect, and we felt supported every step of the way. We spent five amazing days and four wonderful nights surrounded by breathtaking views, beautiful accommodations, and an atmosphere that was both peaceful and welcoming. The property itself is stunning, but what really sets Copperhill Cabins apart is the heart behind it. Lesa and Everett treat you like family, and that made all the difference. Our wedding day was more beautiful than we could have imagined, and so many of our guests commented on how perfect the venue was. We created memories that will last a lifetime. Book now! You will not regret!"

✨ He only has 21 nights. Don’t leave the porch light on. ✨
Firefly season has arrived in Copperhill, and the woods around The Cabins at Copperhill are starting to glow.
For just a few weeks, these tiny lights fill the summer evenings — flashing through the trees, across the grass, and around the cabins.
Turn off the porch light.
Sit by the fire.
Let the mountains go dark.
Watch the magic begin.
Some moments can’t be rushed. Some only happen once a year.
🌿 Book your summer stay at The Cabins at Copperhill while firefly season is here.

We came to Copperhill thinking we were buying cabins.
What we found was a place shaped by miners, mountain families, Cherokee history, copper, hardship, and resilience.

I wrote more about why this place felt different to us — and why we’re still learning its story.

Hard-working people are who we come from. When we search our family histories as far back as we can go, we find farmers, settlers, and pioneers — people who worked the land, raised families, faced uncertainty, and kept going because life required it of them. Maybe that

Hello Friends and Welcome to the beginning of our story, When we were young… we had dreams, plans, excitement, curiosity. Like many young couples, Everett and I would talk about what we would do someday, we were 19 and 20 years old

Long before Copperhill became a quiet mountain town, the Copper Basin was one of the most heavily mined copper regions in the country.

By the mid-1800s, miners had discovered rich copper deposits beneath these hills. What followed was a rush of industry, labor, railroads, smoke, and hardship. The copper pulled from this land helped fuel America’s growth, but it came at a cost.

For decades, mining and smelting stripped the surrounding mountainsides of trees and vegetation. The soil turned a deep reddish color, and the landscape became so barren it was said you could see the Copper Basin from space.

But the story didn’t end there.

Over time, the land began to heal. Trees returned. Wildlife came back. The mountains softened again. What was once known for smoke and scarred earth is now surrounded by forest, rivers, trails, and mountain beauty.

That contrast is part of what makes this place so special.

When you stay at The Cabins at Copperhill, you are not just visiting the mountains. You are stepping into a place with a powerful past — one shaped by miners, railroads, copper, hardship, and renewal.

The land has a story.
And here, you can still feel it.

We specialize in rustic cabins, mountain retreats, glamping-style stays, and rural vacation properties in the Copper Basin and surrounding Blue Ridge market.

Own a cabin or second home near Copperhill, Ducktown, McCaysville, Epworth, or Blue Ridge?

Blue Copper Vacation Property Management helps owners turn their mountain property into a professionally managed short-term rental without having to handle every guest message, cleaner, calendar issue, repair call, or platform update themselves.

We are local owner-operators, not a distant call center. We understand rural mountain properties, hot tubs, gravel drives, cleaners, guest expectations, Airbnb, VRBO, Booking.com, and the seasonal ups and downs of this market.
If your cabin is underperforming, or simply becoming too much to manage, we’d be happy to provide a free rental-readiness review.
