a common question we get is "what do folks mostly do with the Hyde Park units?", and the answer is alway is - there is a story behind every door. Chuck Aaron, who is the world's most talented helicopter pilot (google him for confirmation), rebuilt this Hiller Rotocycle at Hyde Park before it was shipped to Southern Utah Univ. This thing is an amazing piece of military history....it was built to fold up into a canister to drop behind enemy lines to a downed pilot. It unfolded into a helicopter via 13 pit pins. After building only 12 the military scrapped the program as they discovered that talented fighter pilots doesn't translate to being good helicopter pilots...

Never know what you’re gonna see at roll-up to Hyde Park. This beauty is a 1955 Jaguar XK140. This “style” car was made into legend by Hollywood’s Clark Gable, only his were XK120’s. This black one in the picture is one of Gable’s XK120’s, and was given to him by Indianapolis Motor Speedway owner Tony Hulman Jr. If you look real close you can almost hear Gable saying in the 1939 movie Gone with the Wind…“frankly my dear I don’t give a damn”. What a legendary car and actor.

It is with the heaviest of hearts the Hyde Park community mourns the loss of one of our own - John Andretti. John has been a mentor, pitch-man, and most importantly, a friend since he was Hyde Park’s first customer in May 2001. As an early believer in the vision that was Hyde Park, John was featured in our first marketing materials….we cut commercials with him, both in Cornelius & Daytona, did brochures and direct mailers with him…..all that & he never once asked us for a dime in return. His generosity and contribution to the success of the Hyde Park formula will forever be remembered & cherished. Our hearts go out to Nancy, Jarett, Olivia, and Amelia. God Speed John Andretti….God Speed.
