Good to be back to OBX; getting ready for summer 2026. Nothing like a sunrise walk on the beach to start your day. And guest appearance... FIVE horses came running down the beach (safely being escorted back to behind the fence).

Need a new place to go for dinner this summer? We can't say enough good things about the Red Sky Casual Dining & Cocktails in Duck, NC. They take reservations and the restaurant was great. The cocktails were super cute; great service and the southern chicken parm was SO good! Try it!

You never know what you will see in OBX. Went to see the sunset off the Currituck Banks Reserve trail up the street. Instead of a sunset, we watched horses feast in the grass!! Look close - there were 3 adults and a foal that we could see. AMAZING beauty.

If you have a 4WD vehicle, take a ride up the beach to Carova. See if you can find some horses, stop by the Carova Fire Station - they sell Tshirts benefitting the fire company, or take a break at the Carova Beach Park. In October, we took the Jeep up and even made it to the VA line! Anyone else have any pictures to post from Carova?

Need an Adventure Day? Climb the Bodie Island Lighthouse at Cape Hatteras National Seashore for some amazing sound views and explore Pea Island National Wildlife Refuge. The refuge has a 1/2 mile birding hike on the sound. Lighthouse tickets go on sale every morning at 7am and there are only a few! Finish off the afternoon with a stroll through Manteo! Cute town for a day trip!
