It’s true y’all. Don’t matter how heavy you are.

Our fire engine carries 1,000 gallons of water. That’s over 8,300 pounds of liquid plus the weight of the apparatus. By keeping our tire aired down, we expand the tire contact with the sand, making it easier to travel on the beach and over the dune crossings.

This summer, please help us keep the beach strand smoother by airing down your tires when visiting our service district. Fully inflated tires create deeper ruts and the washboard effect when they slip and skip trying to get traction in the soft sand.
