We're so excited to welcome the Tucker & Holte families back to The Balcony!

One of the best parts of sharing our home has been seeing families return year after year. Knowing you've chosen to spend another week making memories here means so much to us.

We're excited to welcome another returning family to The Balcony this week.

One of the best parts of owning this home has been finding families who come back year after year and make The Balcony part of their own traditions, it really has brought us so much joy! The Sibleys are one of those families, and we're so glad they're spending another OBX vacation with us.

Guess what arrived by crane last week? 👀 (wish I had photos of the delivery 😢)

We haven’t even had a chance to see it ourselves yet, but our guests sent us these photos and are already enjoying it!

One thing we’ve learned over the past six years is that beach house ownership comes with a different level of maintenance! The salt air is relentless, and it definitely shortens the lifespan of anything left outdoors!!😩

Our previous hot tub made it six years, which honestly feels like a pretty good run in Corolla. The new one is in place and ready for the season. 🤞🏻🌊

Anyone want to guess how long this one lasts? 😅

The 2026 season is underway! ☀️🌊

We're excited to welcome the Gage Family back to The Balcony for their 6th stay with us.

They've also been our Virginia neighbors for the past 21 years, which makes their return even more special.

With 2026 being our final rental season before we take a break from renting in 2027, we're especially grateful to welcome back so many longtime guests and friends.

Have an amazing week, Gage Family, and thanks for making The Balcony part of your summer traditions for six years running!

UPDATE: 8/2/26 is BOOKED

After a lot of family conversations, we’ve decided that The Balcony will not be available for rentals in 2027. ❤️

For the next year, we’re going to enjoy it as our family beach home and make some memories of our own here.

That also means the week of 8/2/26 may truly be one of the last chances to stay at The Balcony for the foreseeable future.

We originally held that week for family use, but have decided to open it up one last time.

If you’ve ever wanted to stay here, or have been meaning to come back one more time, this may be your opportunity.

Thank you to everyone who has made The Balcony such a special part of your family traditions over the years. We’ve loved sharing our home with you more than you know! 🫶🏻

A little before and after…
The old unit was hanging on, but the salt air had done its job. Replaced it before it picked the hottest week of the summer to quit.

Truth be told, this is not the fun part of owning a beach house!😅
