Pine Island Perfection, an OBX vacation home

Stay safe everyone!

Most of our area has been upgraded to a Slight Risk (level 2/5) for severe weather for Sunday. Showers are likely with possible scattered afternoon thunderstorms. Main concerns are strong winds and the potential for a few brief tornadoes. Highest confidence is south and east of Richmond, as storms may struggle to form over the piedmont.

Here is the latest regarding coastal flood threats from the ongoing Nor'easter. Widespread moderate to major flooding is expected to continue with each high tide cycle through at least tomorrow morning, with at least minor impacts lingering well into the weekend. Remember that salt water and vehicles don't work well together. Avoid closed roads and follow detours. Find your local flood timing: https://water.noaa.gov

Be careful and stay safe!

Strong to severe storms are possible this afternoon and evening across the entire area, with damaging winds the primary threat, though isolated tornadoes cannot be ruled out. Additionally, there is slight risk of excessive rainfall across the area with scattered instances of flash flooding possible.
