Two wonderful weeks at our beach villa, Sale Di Mareš, in Corolla, North Carolina, came and went far too quickly.
With our boys home from college, it felt like such a gift to slow down and simply be together. Our boys had worked so hard throughout the year, and it was really special to see them finally decompress, reset, and enjoy some well-earned downtime before heading into their summer internships and busy academic schedules ahead. It felt like the perfect pause for them to recharge and get ready for whatās next.
The days were filled with all the best kind of beach livingā¦spikeball matches in the sand, boogie boarding in the waves, shell hunting along the shoreline, early morning fishing trips, and the simple joy of doing nothing at all. We opened our home to a few of their closest friends too, which made it even more fun and full of laughter.
We woke up for sunrise walks and stayed out late for sunset skies that never looked the same twice. Every day felt easy, unhurried, and just a little bit magical.
One of the highlights was seeing the wild horses almost every day. Watching them roam freely along the 4x4 beach, including several adorable baby foals, never lost its magic.
Two weeks flew by far too quickly, but our hearts are full, and we're already counting down until our next family visit to our home all together.
If anyone is dreaming up a late summer getaway, we have our last remaining opening of the season at Sale Di Mare, from August 15ā25. Itās such a beautiful stretch on the Outer Banks⦠long beach days, warm ocean water, and that easy, unhurried rhythm that makes it perfect for reconnecting and making memories together.
We truly love hosting and feel honored to welcome families into our home and be part of the memories they create togetherš©µ
