Even through a heavy East Coast Nor'easter, we managed to pull off a beautiful sunset here at "Sunset Central." View from the second floor deck at the Inn. We hope all is well along the entire East Coast, especially to the folks down in Ocracoke and Hatteras. Overcast and rain for much of the day, but as the thunderstorm passed by and out to sea the clouds started to part and we were treated with an amazing rainbow! Here at the Inn at Corolla Light (unofficially known as "Sunset Central") we had another example of Mother Nature's Beauty this evening. These two photos also illustrate how it's always important not to leave a sunset as soon as the sun drops out of sight. Wait about 20 minutes or so after exact sunset and you'll see how the invisible sun at that point is still putting on a colorful show for all of us.

We've posted a lot of sunsets photos over the Currituck Sound from the Inn, so today we're posting a 180 degree turn towards the Inn itself. Actually, this is still a sunset shot if you count the sunset reflections in several sound front rooms.
