While Corolla Light has one of the best beaches anywhere on the Outer Banks, it doesn't stop there. The fun continues at our handicap accessible oceanfront pool complex where you can sip a cold beverage delivered by the Oceanfront Grille while sun bathing poolside on one of our many chaise lounges. Cool off in one of the two pools, swim some laps in the heated training pool, or watch your children play in the baby pool - you can do it all at Corolla Light. Lighted full and half court basketball courts provide plenty of fun, as does the full sized lighted volleyball court. Those looking for a more leisurely activity might enjoy a game of shuffleboard on one of our four lighted shuffleboard courts, a game of horseshoes, or a round on the putting green. There's even age appropriate playground equipment for the little ones! And don't forget to come over for our ever popular scheduled activities such as movie night, tie-dyeing, arts and crafts and the renowned big daddy splash contest. Sports Center:
Just because you're on vacation doesn't mean you need to give up your work outs! Corolla Light's 36,000 square foot sports center is the second largest fitness center on the Outer Banks. Maintain your aerobic routine in our cardio room: treadmills, ellipticals, steppers, recumbent and upright bikes, and even a Startrac total body trainer await. Want to pump some iron? No problem! Visit our dedicated free weight room, or our Cybex circuit weight room and lift away. And don't forget our 12 person heated, jetted spa - a perfect way to relax. Tennis:
Corolla Light was designed from the ground up to cater to the serious tennis player. Corolla Light boasts 2 Indoor Har-Tru clay courts, 4 outdoor Har-Tru clay courts, 3 outdoor hard courts, and 1 dual use tennis/pickleball hard court. If you're not an experienced tennis player, don't worry. In addition to its outstanding selection of courts, the resort's professional staff offers individual, semi-private, and group lessons. While you're here, be sure to check out the schedule for clinics and tournaments. Best of all, hard court play is free for guests staying on the resort, clay courts are only $15 per hour, and a weekly pass for unlimited outdoor clay court play is only $25. No matter where your home is located on the resort, getting to the beach is a breeze for both adults and children alike on the Corolla Light trolleys. You may board the trolleys from any of the designated trolley stops located throughout the resort. Be sure to wear your wristband so that our drivers may readily identify you as a resort guest. Two open air and one handicap accessible air conditioned trolley run every 20-25 minutes, 9 AM - 6 PM, May 27 through September 1. Getting around 240 acres has never been easier! Weekly Activities:
During the 14 weeks from Memorial Day through Friday, September 1, Corolla Light hosts a wide assortment of activities. For example, adult tennis clinics, kids beginner tennis clinics, volley ball games, lessons with a tennis pro, hair wrapping, surf lessons, water balloon toss, welcome party and many other planned activities.
