We’re excited to introduce ourselves as the owners of Sea to Shining Sea (formerly Toes in the Sand). We purchased our new beach home in February 2024 and couldn’t be more thrilled! While we have experience as vacation rental property owners, this is our first venture in the Outer Banks. Though 2024 was our first season as owners in the OBX, we've been visiting for decades. When visiting Corolla, try to get up to the 4x4 and see the horses. Make sure you stay away 50ft but they are magical and wonderful to see.

There is a place, Beach4x4, down on Collington Rd in Kill Devils Hills that you can rent a jeep for a couple days to head up to the 4x4 and enjoy the area. We rented one in Summer 2025, a gladiator, and loved it. The kids went in the bed of the truck and it was much cheaper than the wild tours if you have alot of family down. When we are down in the summer we have usually 16 to 18 family members. Winter, it is usually just us and our 2 teens.

Just on the other side of the berm are the four mares and week-old foal in his harem. His first! We can’t confirm parentage (especially sires) without DNA testing, but he’s doing a great job taking care of them regardless. He’s a lovely young stallion - an exemplary member of this herd and of the Banker breed overall.

Last week, we spent one of the vacation weeks we reserve for our family at the house. Over the next few days, I'll be sharing some of the fun we had and a few of the improvements we've continued to make.

To kick things off, we hosted a hibachi dinner by the pool to celebrate our daughter, our niece, and two friends on their high school graduations. It was an incredible evening filled with great food, lots of laughs, and wonderful memories. Our chef was fantastic, keeping everyone entertained while preparing a delicious meal right in front of us.

There is something special about gathering with family and friends, enjoying a beautiful evening outdoors, and celebrating such an important milestone. It was the perfect way to honor these amazing graduates and start our week at the beach. Congratulations to all of them on their accomplishments and best wishes for the exciting adventures ahead! 🎓☀️🏖️🍽️
