We still have campsites available here this weekend! We also have some fun programs planned at the Day-Use Picnic Shelter. Come out Friday, June 5 at 7 PM for the Parks & Wildlife 40th Birthday Bash, complete with a campfire, coloring sheets, and s'mores supplies! Then, join us Saturday, June 6 at 8 PM for Hartford’s Heritage, where we'll use a vintage carousel projector and cassette narration to take a nostalgic look at the park's history. 🎣☕ Our State Parks Social Club series continues June 13 with Lures + Lattes at Sandy Shore Recreation Area!
Enjoy coffee from The Coffee Lab and paint your own fishing lure to take home while exploring another park in the district. Registration is $10 and limited to 20 participants. See the original post for details and sign up info!

We’re partnering with The Coffee Lab for a relaxing morning at the lake featuring coffee, creativity, and time outdoors with friends old and new. Participants will get to paint their very own fishing lure to take home! 🎨🐟

Whether you’re crafty, an avid angler needing to update their tackle box, love being outside, or just want to try something new, this is a fun way to explore Sandy Shore Recreation Area while supporting a local business!

We have an exciting program that we're hosting here at our picnic shelter at 8 PM every other Saturday night until June 20th!

To highlight this year's theme, we've gathered some historical photos on a carousel projector along with a voiceover narration that we'd like to share with you to learn a little about what we call Hartford Beach State Park. ⛺🌳

No sign up is required. Park entrance license is required.

We're going to have a great weekend here at Hartford Beach! Not only is it free entrance to all state park and recreation area visitors May 15-17, but the weather is also looking great! Check out the programs we have here this weekend below⬇️

Note: The dump station will be closed through Wednesday, May 20th tentatively due to paving delays, but all other facilities are open!
