2020 in Review- A Personal Scorecard
My first hope is that you and yours have been healthy through this pandemic. You may have been hit with some tragedy, like our family was, and if that was the case, I feel for you.
I have been enjoying my coaching clients, pivoted to speak online at conferences, and used this past year to catch up on all those projects I always wanted to get “around to”. A few highlights:
• My LinkedIn training videos have now been translated into numerous languages and watched more than 350,000 times world-wide! https://www.lynda.com/Don-Phin/8857475-1.html
• I created the Great Employee Program and The Great Manager Program, to go along with The Great HR Program. I’ll be releasing those soon in an awesome training system and will let you know when that happens.
• I passed the 400 mark for doing Vistage CEO workshops, presenting to approximately 6,000 CEOs. Here’s an excerpt from one of those presentations on listening https://vimeo.com/445354299
• Hit the 20-year mark as Editor of IRMI’s EPLiC Journal (which also means I wrote 80 journal articles). https://www.irmi.com/products/employment-practices-liability-consultant
• Did some great video-based keynotes, workshops, and webinars. An example of a good one I did for the LinkedIn/Glint conference on employee engagement challenges. https://vimeo.com/488360269
• Filmed some fun short videos, including one on being a hero https://vimeo.com/447581427
So, while it is a bummer most of my speaking was cancelled, I got to catch up on many things I needed some time for. Unless you were fortunate to stay fully employed, my guess is you had an opportunity to work on your stuff too!
Here’s the deal…I will be sharing a stockpile of great content and tools in 2021. All good stuff. If I can email you occasionally, it improves the odds you actually seeing anything I write or share 😊. For starters here’s two docs that can help some career planning for 2021 Visualization Techniques for Success and Vision, Mission, Values, and Goals Worksheet
Here’s to a much better 2021, Don
