A beautiful hike into the heart of the canyon led us to these remarkable ancient dwellings, hidden beneath towering sandstone cliffs. Standing before structures built stone by stone centuries ago, we couldn’t help but marvel at what the Ancient Puebloan people achieved in this rugged landscape.

Every beam, every stone, every room tells a story of ingenuity, resilience, and a profound connection to the land. Moments like these remind us how much wisdom and craftsmanship existed long before modern conveniences.

The canyon was stunning, but the real treasure was the sense of wonder these ancient homes inspired. ❤️

一趟令人難忘的峽谷健行。

穿過壯麗的紅岩峽谷與隱秘的岩棚，我們來到了這些保存數百年的古老居所。站在眼前，很難不對先民們的智慧與毅力感到敬佩。

在沒有現代工具、機械與道路的年代，他們一塊石頭、一根木樑地建造家園，在峭壁下尋找庇護，在艱困環境中繁衍生息。

站在這些歷經數百年仍然存在的建築前，我們不禁想像：曾經有孩子在這裡長大，有火光在夜晚閃爍，有歡笑、有故事，也有世代相傳的智慧。

峽谷讓人感受到地質歲月的浩瀚，而這些古老居所則讓人看見人類的智慧、韌性與創造力。置身其中，我們深深為他們所取得的成就所震撼，也感恩這些珍貴遺址至今仍能帶給人們無限的啟發與感動。

Today, May 2nd, is the World Labyrinth Day! Thanks to our dearest guests/friends Virginia Howard and Audrey Marnoy made this beautiful labyrinth next to the Wagstaff Cabin during Covid lockdown.

If you are near a labyrinth, you can walk a labyrinth at 1pm local time to help create a rolling wave of peaceful energy for the world.

On Sunday, we came across an injured Peregrine falcon near our home and were able to gently rescue him. Despite the situation, he was incredibly beautiful and full of spirit. We brought him to Durango Animal Hospital, where we received reassuring news—his wing isn’t broken, but stained. He will be transferred to a rehabilitation facility for care.

We’re so grateful and hope he makes a full recovery, soon returning to our area where he belongs.
