Did you know that the Great Smokies has more flowering plants than any other National Park? With over 1,500 species of wildflowers, it is extraordinarily diverse.

Come visit during April or May and you'll be delighted by the blooms. Our favorite hike at this time of year is Porters Creek Trail. The wildflowers are abundant on the first 1.5 miles of the easy trail.

The National Park also offers a Wildflower Pilgrimage April 22-25.

There are approximately 1900 black bears in the Smokies. They have an incredible sense of smell and can run up to 40 mph. With one every 2 square miles your chances are pretty good for seeing one in the National Park.

Holiday Magic Awaits in the Smokies!

Looking for the perfect place to cozy up this holiday season? Three Little Birds Cabin still has a few open dates through the holidays -and they won't last long!

November 11 to November 16
November 30 to December 3
December 3 to December 14

Starting November 7, Gatlinburg transforms into a winter wonderland with Winterfest, lighting up the town with festive cheer. By late November, the cabin itself becomes a cozy Christmas retreat - every room has a bit of holiday cheer. Enjoy twinkling lights, a warm woodburning fireplace, and mountain magic all around.
