Campsites are kept pristine and as close to natural as possible. There are small canopies, tables and designated fire rings throughout the sites which are first come, first serve. If interested, we rent out the large canopy for special events and also have a small cabin that can be rented. NO FIREWORKS ALLOWED. e 29 this 2016 Season. Our campsites can be found along the Rio Costilla River and there is approximately 3 miles of additional campsites past the main Park entrance (Visitor Center location) along the existing streams (Latir, Lemos and Midnight) as well as designated sites around Little Blue Lake and Latir Lake #3. Keep in mind, we recommend 4-Wheel drive to access our lakes due to rough jeep trails. Dogs are allowed, however; we recommend they be kept under control and be courteous of nearby camps. Absolutely NO ATV’S, UTV’S, OFF-ROAD VEHICLES OR MOTORIZED BOATS in Rio Costlla camping areas. Motorcycles on Main Road, however NOT allowed at campsites. Avoid meadows as much as possible. We have a kid's pond just inside the main park entrance, located behind the large canopy on the right hand side just past the first large meadow on the left. This pond is for ages 12 and under only. Fees are as follows:
Entrance for Day time only: $10.00 per vehicle (out by 8pm)
Entrance and Overnight Camping: $25.00per vehicle per night
Fishing is as additional $10.00 per person per day to fish Latir Creek streams and Lakes. Rio Costilla River requires NM State License, be aware of specialty waters that are marked. Lakes are artificial bait only, limit 2 per person per day. Park Streams allow for live bait, limit 4 per person per day. Our main office is located at 72 HWY 196 Costilla, NM 87524, open weekdays 8 am to 5pm. We sell NM State Fishing Licenses at this location only. The Park's Visitor Center is open weekends 8 am to 8pm through Labor Day Weekend. THANK YOU!!!
