This morning I tried a new breakfast for my guests… and it was a hit. ✨

These loaded waffle breakfast sandwiches were stacked with sausage, melty cheese, farm fresh fried egg, crispy bacon, fresh arugula and drizzled with organic maple syrup . served with a golden hash brown and fresh fruit on the side. Sweet, savory, cozy, and just a little extra—the kind of breakfast that makes getting away feel like a true treat.

At Sweet Springs Family Farm, I love dreaming up special little touches that make a stay feel memorable, and this one may have just earned a permanent spot on the menu. There are moments in this life that stop you in your tracks… and this was one of them. 💛

Receiving a handwritten letter from guests is special—but when your guests truly see you, it’s something else entirely. It’s the kind of moment that makes your heart feel so full it might just burst. The letter reads. “Dear Alyssa,We just wanted to send you a little note to not only thank you, but to tell you what an amazing bright light you are. What a positive, kind-hearted, humble, hard-working, generous, and genuine person you are!

The joy you are getting from what you are doing is transferring into the joy others are receiving. We felt like we were visiting a kind family member.

You are an inspiration!

Some people might say Oregon weather is unpredictable… but I call it magic. ✨

One of the things I love most about living here is that you can experience all four seasons in a single day—and somehow, it never gets old. We are so incredibly blessed to call this place home, where everything is lush and green, rainbows feel like a regular occurrence, and even summer rain feels like a gift.

Today was one of those moments that just stops you in your tracks. I was outside working the land—in my bathing suit, soaking up the sunshine under a perfect bluebird sky—when suddenly, the sky split in two. Half stayed bright and blue, while the other rolled in with dark storm clouds that put on the most incredible thunder and lightning show. And just when I thought it couldn’t get any better… a rainbow appeared.

Daily magic. 🌈

Moments like this fill me with so much joy and gratitude—for this life, this land, the beauty that surrounds us every single day. I feel honored to share it with my guests that visit from all around the world. 💛

There’s just something so special about hosting little ones here at Sweet Springs Family Farm 🤍

When families stay with us, my inner child comes fully alive. I get so excited dreaming up what animal-themed breakfast I’ll make for them each morning 🐰🐷✨
The squeals when they see their plate… the giggles as they play with the pig or catch frogs and salamanders out of the pond… the quiet, tender moments rocking baby bunnies to sleep… it’s pure joy.

And then… my favorite part…
That look on the parents’ faces. The “we did it” look. The parent win. 🙌

Happy kids. Relaxed parents.
That’s what a real vacation feels like.

And getting to be a small part of that? It absolutely lights me up every single time 💛

I’m usually the one doing the spoiling here at Sweet Springs Family Farm, but today one of my amazing guests left me a sample of her product TALLOW from — and I instantly fell in love.

It’s whipped beef tallow skincare and it feels absolutely incredible. Natural, simple, and nourishing.

One of my favorite parts about hosting is meeting the most inspiring, creative people from all over. Every guest brings a little magic with them. 🤍

Our breakfast quesadillas are one of our guest favorites — fluffy farm eggs, melty cheese, savory goodness all tucked into a perfectly toasted tortilla and served with fresh fruit and a little kick on the side.
