Come relax and step back in time on the banks of beautiful Bayou Rouge! Welcome to Grandma's House! We are so excited to share our home on Bayou Rouge. Built in 1949 by Nelson Andress, our father, Grandma's House is a time capsule. Nelson and Dora Andress were the first to build this far down Horseshoe Drive, and as they told it, scraped each brick themselves in order to complete the construction.
Our fond memories in this neighborhood, on this street, along this bayou are infinite. Our hope is that whoever comes to visit Grandma's House can feel just a little of the nostalgia that a house of this age and charm can emit. Allow yourself to slow down, get cozy by the fireplace, drink a cup of coffee on the patio, listen to the birds sing while swinging under the oak, and let the peace of this home wash away your worries.
