Laundry room cabinets finally finished, with original copper hardware on small one and similar new on large one (replacing mismatched painted ones). Room refresh is complete and ready for guests arriving tomorrow.

Exciting news! Not only will one of our recipes appear in the upcoming issue of Edible Central Arizona (out Aug. 5), but I've taken on a side gig as the magazine's Food Editor. I'm looking forward to developing original dishes, collaborating with talented local chefs, and sharing the flavors that make Central Arizona such a wonderful place to visit. Already testing ideas for the Winter issue this week.

When high temps hit, it's time for indoor projects. Hoping fresh paint and hardware give new life to these old handmade cabinets in the laundry room. Can't wait to post the "after" photos. (And yes, I'll be switching out the curtains, as well.)

An infrequent visitor stopped by our Certified Wildlife Habitat this morning. Hard to get a good photo, but she stayed for quite a while.

The Pocket fire doubled overnight. It's about 7 miles north of Sedona and moving northward. We are south, view from our deck. Sending good vibes to our firefighters.
