LOOK UP TONIGHT, COUDERSPORT!

If you're staying near Cherry Springs tonight, don't rush indoors after sunset.

A beautiful planetary lineup is happening in the western sky as Venus, Jupiter, and Mercury appear together shortly after sunset. Venus will be the brightest, Jupiter will shine nearby, and Mercury will sit lower toward the horizon. This rare gathering is visible from many locations around the world, including Pennsylvania, weather permitting. The best time to look is about 45–60 minutes after sunset with a clear view of the western horizon.
