The Columbia River Inn is a 2 Diamond AAA rated establishment located across the street from the Grand Coulee Dam Visitor Center and just minutes from the best outdoor recreation in the Pacific Northwest! The Columbia River Inn is nestled along the hillside at the southern entrance to historic Coulee Dam. The historic walking tour around Coulee Dam starts at the Inn. Interpretive signs bring to life the history of the community. Across the street is the Grand Coulee Dam Visitor Center. The Visitor Center spotlights the history of the dam through interactive displays and documentaries. Guests can take a tour of one of the largest dams in the world. The Laser Light Show can be viewed at the dam during the summer. Several hiking trails, including the Candy Point Trail, are easily accessible from the Inn. From short, moderately challenging hikes to longer, aggressive trails, the Grand Coulee Dam Area has hikes to suit almost everyone's interests. If you'd like to see some of the local wildlife, grab your binoculars and walk down to the Washington Flats Wildlife Refuge. Or, if you'd rather go for a bike ride, there's a 6.2-mile long downriver trail that follows the Columbia River. Interested in fishing? Lake Roosevelt and Banks Lake are a fisherman's paradise. If you would rather go boating, there are several boat ramps within a mile or so where you can launch your boat in either lake. Or, if you might like to sit on the beach, you can head down to Spring Canyon, where you can soak up the sun or relax in the shade, have a barbecue, or go for a swim in Lake Roosevelt. Guests can also enjoy 4 Wheeling at Grand Coulee Dam minutes from the Inn on Hwy 155. There are miles of off-road trails to explore, including challenging sand dune hills. The beautiful scenery and trails for hills or speed along the shores of North Banks Lake are popular but not crowded. Yes, the 18-hole public golf course is a short drive away.
