It’s been a HOT 🥵 Summer! The end of Summer is approaching, it’s time to take one last dip in our local swimming holes.

1). Yellow River - Cedar Shoals Park - picnic area, rock shoals, can kayak river but not at shoals

2). Lake Varner - Trails, kayaking, trolling motors, fishing, playground, picnic area

3). Turtle Cove Beach at Jackson Lake - may need to inquire a pass

4). Charlie Elliot Wildlife Center - Trails, Range Shooting, Boating, wildlife center

5). Factory Shoals Park Alcovy River - Rock shoals, can kayak River but not at shoals

6). Hard Labor Creek - Trails, Putt-Putt, Kayaking

Always a special time of year in the City of Covington, our Christmas lights are spectacular. Took a nice evening stroll on the trail to downtown and grabbed a warm rum & cider and enjoyed the evening.

Welcome to the south. Mornings are chilly, afternoons are warm, evenings are cool and the leaves are changing. Best time to travel.
