Tomorrow is National Night Out! There are lots of events happening at the Crane Lake Visitor Center that start a little earlier and go later into the evening.

Be sure to check out all the fun events along the Gold Coast Road in Crane Lake from 6pm- 8pm. Help support our local volunteer firefighters and first responders! All proceeds go to both Crane Lake and Buyck.

National Night Out is August 4th from 6pm-8pm. National Night Out helps support the Crane Lake and Buyck Volunteer firefighters and first responders! Come out for food, activities, silent auction, bake sales, and live music!

Stick around for this event as well as a Park After Dark program with Voyageurs Conservancy featuring telescopes, constellation tours and brilliant starscapes!

🌙🦋 Discover the wild side of Voyageurs after dark!

Join the National Park Service and Voyageurs Conservancy for an evening of light trapping and insect identification at the Crane Lake Visitor Center.

🔦 Special lights will attract moths and other nocturnal insects, giving us a chance to see and learn about some of the smaller creatures that are easy to miss during the day.

We’ll also record our observations on iNaturalist to help document the park’s biodiversity as a part of the 2026 Voyageurs National Park BioBlitz. Come see what we find!

Due to high fire danger and active wildfires across northern Minnesota, Voyageurs National Park will implement fire restrictions effective Sunday, July 12, 2026, at 12:01 a.m. These restrictions will remain in effect until rescinded. Restrictions are being put in place to reduce the risk of human-caused wildfires and to align with broader state and regional fire management efforts.
