Woo Hoo. As of 30 min. ago, all evacuation orders have been canceled!! God is so good!

Today's (Thursday, 19th) update. The fire is almost full contained. There has been limited hot spots and no breaches of the perimeter for the last 2 nights even with high winds. There are still evacuation orders in place, but we are in the lowest level. We want to praise God for the light rain we had last night and calm cool weather today. And a huge shout out to all the firefighters and workers that have fought this fire. As of now there were no structures lost and no deaths! God is good. Safe travels and we would love to see you at the Homestead.

Join us in supporting the hard-working individuals that have contributed to battling the most recent fires.

In lieu of a firework show, the Harrison Community Club will be hosting a fundraiser appreciation for our local fire department, ranchers and individuals who assisted at the fire station. Invite your family, friends and other surrounding fire fighters!

Today's update. The fire lines all held yesterday, even with red flag warnings and more crazy wind. There are a couple more days of high winds in the forecast, so the evacuation orders are still in place, but we are on the lowest level orders, so we are still open. Our consignors would appreciate you checking out the mercantile, and after this scare, we would love to see some activity on the website booking calendar! We are looking at options for fixing the pool, but unfortunately, with the costs to repair it and with the decreased bookings for this season - well, it may have to wait. We thank you again for your support and prayers through this trying time. Safe travels, and we would love to see you at the Homestead.

Just a quick update, as of this morning, our area has been moved down to a lower level of evacuation orders. Praise God. So we are headed to church to praise Him for His protection. There is still active fire, so we are all being aware. Thanks to all of you for the prayers and support. Neal and Heather

We are still here and giving the glory to God first. We can not thank the fire fighters and all involved enough. The fire is still very active, and we are still in the pre-evacuation area, but the winds have shifted and it is cool and over cast today. Lord, open the heavens and let down some rain! It has been a tense few days, and the visual damage to our beautiful area is overwhelmingly sad, but, there is always beauty to come from the ashes. God is good, this is His place. When you're ready, come on out, put your feet up and revel in all the amazing things around you!
