Our tiny ramudas newest two. He’s a foundation bred gelding soon to carry us into the high country and join us in adventure. He’s found his bestie in Tishy… the Crowfoot Six bred another excellent minded, kind, far from deadhead good boy. We needed a name that fit his silly but sweet personality, a future of loyalty and friendship, one that wouldn’t give up on a garment just because it got a little age on it (iykyk). We can not wait to watch him grow up with us. Thank you Doc and Courtney ~ we already love him beyond measure 🩶

How about a 3.5 speed “you rented a mountain cabin in April and drive up to this”

We have guests rolling in any minute and I always wonder what their conversation sounds like when they drive up.

The weather blesses them with wet sloppy snow flakes on a dry thirsty mountainscape. I left them some local honey and my favorite tea bags thinking it sounds perfect after a sauna in the snow.

If you need a locally hosted, quiet spring escape, pack your slippers and your bestie 🐕 I’ll have things ready.

Weekends need projects

In 1883 our little valley discovered silver, before Creede or Bachelor was Sunnyside Mining District. This perfect cabin is built on the Alpha 1 Claim right next to Miners Creek and I’ve always known I wanted to honor the history, the legends, the honor of the strongest generation. These men and women were the definition of tough, resourceful and literally dug in. A local historian (friend and incredible artist) Allie Quiller helped us find these super cool old photos from our local mining museum. Pumped.

Then I had to add horses and black paint. And plants. Because it’s me.

What an honor and absolute thrill it is to nod to the past, ride the hell out of the present and pray over the future right here in sunny Sunnyside mining district. We’d love to host you.
