Here's a question. How do I, as a home inspector and radon tester, reach my service community and let them know Im here and ready for your home inspection needs? I understand that the biggest part is advertising but what sets an inspector apart? What makes you go with one inspector over another? Is it the cost, experience, or something else? Please comment and leave an honest answer? Thank you.

Well, summer is here and with it comes all the parties, sporting events, swimming, barbecue and camping.....One thing is always for sure. Something is going to breakdown when we least expect it and least afford to fix them. Much like routine maintenance on your car, we should perform routine maintenance on our home. Many of these untimely malfunctions could be avoided or at the very least pointed out before something happens that catches us off guard or in desperate need. Home Inspectors like me, in many states, including mine, Ohio, have to be licensed and certified to perform complete and thorough home inspections. We are not perfect and may not always find or uncover every hidden problem but we do give you the best snapshot of your homes condition that we possibly can. We take pictures, check electrical outlets and service panels, we inspect every major part of your home from the foundation to the roof and from the inside to the outside. Im surprised by how many people are afraid to have their home inspected. We inspectors don't determine if a house sells or not. This is up to the seller and buyer. Most times the issues are a negotiation tool. But to not have a home inspection could cost both parties alot more if problems aren't nipped in the bud. Just my 2 cents. Have a Safe day!

Look at the pile of rotted wood that was removed and replaced, at the new owners expense no less. This could've been rectified by the seller had the buyer had a home inspection! As it stands the repairs were almost the cost of a new fence. Please save yourself this expense and hassle, have your home inspected before purchasing. Maybe the seller didn't know. If you're thinking of selling, contact us for a pre-sale inspection. It will save both parties in the long run. B-Safe is all you need.

I bet you didnt know that radon is so dangerous that even the one doing the test has to keep track of how much radon they are exposed to over a period of time and if they have higher levels than what is acceptable, they can no longer do testing for the rest of the 12 month period?

If I hadn't taken a peek at the plumbing over the basement ceiling I would've missed this and it would've been a nightmare for the homeowner. As it stood, the buyer and seller reached an amicable solution and both avoided a serious problem
