The hike up South Crestone Creek, just a 3 minute walk from the Point, from Crestone Park up to the Willow Creek Trailhead, is simply magic. Here's how I feel about these daily walks...

I started the path into these woods
Heavy with Concern
Worried about the days to come
Not present
But
The Cottonwoods calm
The Pinions pacify
And the Aspens conspire
To convince that part in me
That is just like them
to let go of all burdens
just as they drop their glorious leaves
when it's time,
now softening my step.
Creek as companion,
Flowing still beneath the ice,
I walk and I learn
I am lifted and transformed.
And when I exit this path
I am healed,
I'm ready.

is just across the valley from us in the San Juan Mountains, and we got to check it out for the first time today...EPIC! What a mountain! Got a ton of freshies, and so many great tree runs and glades, with super light pow. Only 90 min from and an obscenely beautiful drive, plus we were greeted gone with a moonrise over the Crestone peaks aswe headed home. MAGIC!
