Dear Friend,

The funny thing about the woods is that they don't ask anything from you.

They don't care how many emails you answered this week.

Or whether your house is clean.

Or if you crossed everything off your to-do list.

They simply invite you to sit down.

To watch the trees move with the wind.

To listen to birds you've forgotten the names of.

To remember that the world keeps turning, even when you stop for a little while.

Maybe that's why people leave here feeling different.

Not because the forest changed them.

Because it gave them enough quiet to hear themselves again.

"I don't do camping."

That's what she said.

No tents.
No sleeping bags.
No public campgrounds.
No waking up with a rock in her back.

So they booked one weekend in a private forest cabin.

She fell asleep to crickets.

Woke up wrapped in blankets with sunlight pouring through the trees.

Spent the evening around a fire with a glass of wine instead of worrying about tent stakes.

On the drive home she asked,

"When are we coming back?"

If someone you love says they hate camping... they probably just haven't experienced it like this.

The house had never been quieter.

The kids had grown.

The schedules disappeared.

So they packed one small bag and disappeared into the woods for two nights.
