You may have noticed a new profile picture today!

We’ve updated the Cuyuna Crossing logo with a simpler mark that feels especially true to this place: a winding river and a single pine tree. It's a much simpler look and simplicity is something we're really craving these later summer days!

We've been so busy with getting the littler kids back to school, our oldest son off to boot camp, our daughter off to her first year at the university, and another son started at community college. Our house has been in motion this past month, to say the least! Now it's time to pause and breathe in the last days of summer and soak up the lingering sunlight. We know fall and winter are just around the corner, so this visual invitation for simpler, slower days is exactly what our souls are craving.

The Mississippi River flows along more than half a mile of our property, offering a beautiful way to arrive, explore, and slow down. The pine tree reflects the quiet woods that shelter our domes and campsites. We hope it's inviting you into a simpler time of rest this time of year.

We’ve already changed the logo here, and you’ll start seeing the new mark appear in a few other places too. We're getting used to the simpler look and hope you come to love it as much as we do!

The bridge that Josh built was as easy as trimming a half inch off of some repurposed dock tops and dropping them onto a salvaged dock frame. Work smarter, not harder, right? It's really fun to be able to make these incremental changes and see consistent improvement. We are loving our little glampground more with each project.

There's an old song that says love can build a bridge.... maybe it can, but we got tired of waiting and asked our sons to do it instead. Way to go Toby and Ezra! Going across the swamp on hole 8/17 will be a lot nicer now 👍. Next up, hole 7/16

Josh recently spent the night with a few of the kids and the dog at the river. One of the perks of owning a campground/glampground is that you get to decide last minute to have an epic adventure!

There's something very satisfying about watching the clover planted this spring as it fills in the spaces cleared last fall. Working and resting in the woods today I feel very blessed to spend time with greenery, dappled sunlight, and a gentle breeze. Life is good in the woods.
