Join us for a spooktacular afternoon of family-friendly Halloween fun at the Crosslake Recreation Area for Trick-or-Treat at Camp Spooktacular 2026!

🎃 Trick-or-Treating | 2:30–6 PM

Kids can trick-or-treat their way through the campground, visiting decorated campsites and collecting plenty of treats along the way.

☕ Complimentary hot cocoa for everyone
🌭 One complimentary hot dog for each child dressed in costume
🍬 Trick-or-treating throughout the campground

👻 Wagon Ride Tour of Lights | 6–8 PM

Stick around after trick-or-treating for an evening Wagon Ride Tour of Lights! Climb aboard and enjoy a ride through the campground to see the eerie, festive and creatively decorated campsites after dark.

🚗 Important Parking & Safety Information

For the safety of trick-or-treaters, no vehicles will be allowed into the campground from 2:15–8:15 PM. Families are encouraged to bring strollers or wagons for younger children.

This event is FREE and open to the community!

Donations are welcome and will benefit Light Up the Dam, a nonprofit community effort that creates seasonal lighting displays at the Pine River Dam and surrounding Crosslake Recreation Area.

Throughout the year, Light Up the Dam brings the area to life with displays including the American flag, fall pumpkin, Christmas wreath, holiday archway and trees, and spring shamrock.

🎃 Trick-or-Treat at Trick-or-Treat at Camp Spooktacular 2026👻

Join us Saturday, October 24 from 2:30–6 PM for a safe and fun afternoon of trick-or-treating for the whole family!

Kids can make their way through the campground collecting treats, plus enjoy complimentary hot cocoa and one free hot dog for every child dressed in costume.

🌟 Stick around for the Wagon Ride Tour of Lights from 6–8 PM! Hop aboard and take a ride through the campground to see the eerie, festive and creatively decorated campsites.

Please bring strollers or wagons for little ones. For everyone's safety, no vehicles will be allowed into the campground from 2:15–8:15 PM.

There is no charge to attend! Donations will be accepted to benefit Light Up the Dam, the nonprofit community effort behind the seasonal displays that light up the Pine River Dam and surrounding Crosslake Recreation Area throughout the year.

From the glowing pumpkin in fall to holiday lights, the American flag and spring shamrock, Light Up the Dam helps make the Crosslake Dam shine all year long. Follow Light Up the Dam on Facebook and consider volunteering to help keep the tradition going! 🎃✨

Have you registered for Camp Spooktacular 2026? It's a howling good time! 👻🎃👻

The campground will be open to the community for kids to trick or treat on Sat. Oct. 24 from 2:30 - 6:00 p.m. followed by tractor pulled wagon rides till 8:00 p.m.

Thank you to our Pequot Lakes High School Day of Caring Volunteers!

We had a productive day working along side these student volunteers as we took down our remaining Christmas lights and started to prep for our summer light display. They also helped prep the Linda Ulland Memorial Garden.
