Summer activities are coming and we could not be more excited. New this year, the fishing contest has a "get the lead out" twist — any size catch can win, and kids can trade in their old lead sinkers and tackle for a special prize. 🎣

Congratulations to our ice out contest winner Mitchell Thurner! Today, April 23, 2026 is officially the day the ice is completely gone from the Whitefish Chain. Let the fun begin! ☀️

We scoped it out... and there is still some ice on the west side of Whitefish! So, it'll be another day or two before the ice is officially out and we can announce the winner of the contest. We're so close!

With heavy hearts, we share that Sandy—our longtime bookkeeper, office manager, and dear friend—has passed away. She was part of our Boyd Lodge family for nearly 15 years and meant so much to all of us.

Sandy loved interacting with our guests and brought so much joy to the resort. She even came up with the idea that we needed a turtle mascot—and made it happen by ordering a turtle costume to make the turtle races even more fun.

We will miss her dearly. She is truly irreplaceable.

What a difference a day can make! We got hit with some snow but we’re still holding out hope that crappie season is right around the corner.
