To say that we are blown away by all of the entries is an understatement! I never imagined that a simple little contest would bring us so many creative, funny, awesome names to choose from... so thank you!!

The name we have chosen for the property is "The Last Acre Lodge" because it comes with a sweet story. Some of you may (or may not) know that I actually grew up at the very end of Raccoon Road, not far from this place. My childhood is full of wonderful memories on our pig farm nearby, playing on the creekbanks. I didn't know until long after we bought the place that this one-acre spot located on Raccoon Road/Creek was at one time the very end of our original family farm started by my Great Grandfather and sold many years ago. Times change and life goes on... but sometimes it's fun to watch things come full circle. This place is once again part of the family and will welcome kids back to the creekbanks for years to come.

My aunt Lisa Saunders (who can pretty much stay for free anytime she wants anyway, but she lives almost next door) came up with this name for us so I have chosen my two other favorites for the free night stay giveaway: "River & Roots Retreat" (Kassidy McCombs) and "The Ripple Retreat" (Jessica Green) ...
