Thank you Rachel for allowing us to share your post about the "night lights" in Crystal Beach:

Bioluminescent algae is back on the peninsula! Incredible!! Disclaimer: in person it’s not this blue. More like seeing white under an uv light. If I try to take a photo with the night mode turned off however, it’s blurry like the last pic. What’s even cooler than that, is if you step on the seaweed (the algae tends to stick to it) or swipe it over with your foot, the sand lights up Avatar style! I just couldn’t figure out how to capture that with my phone on any of the camera setting. It’s gorgeous and other worldly 🫶🏼🫶🏼
