Good morning,

Our page was blocked for a while and we haven't done a very good job keeping up with it since, but a lot has been happening at the lodge.

We’re tucked away on 50 private acres in Cumberland, Virginia, about an hour from Richmond and Charlottesville. It’s a quiet place to get away, but still close enough to plenty of things to do.

We host wedding guests, families, hunters, fishermen and anyone just looking for a few days in the country.

We're only about 10 minutes from Bear Creek Lake State Park, where you can kayak, canoe, hike, fish and swim. Or you can stay right here and explore the property, ride bikes, fish, or cool off in the river.

We’re also continuing to improve the place. A new fire pit is coming soon, with a hot tub next on the list. 🔥

And when fall rolls around, Timber Lodge turns into deer camp. 🦌 We host hunters throughout the season and offer guided Virginia whitetail hunts with lodging.

Our fully furnished private lodge is available for nightly, weekly, and select monthly stays.

This is not a traditional long-term rental, but full-month bookings may be available depending on the month.

The lodge is tucked away in a quiet, outdoorsy setting near Bear Creek Lake State Park, where guests can enjoy the beach, swimming, fishing, hiking, kayaking, and time outdoors.

It’s been a little quiet on here… but we’ve been busy getting The Retreat at Timber Lodge ready for spring and summer. 🌿

This past fall and winter was incredible. We had guests come in from all over the U.S.—families looking to unplug, and hunters chasing deer and just enjoying the outdoors.

There’s just something different about being out here

Slow mornings on the porch, rocking chair creaking, coffee in hand… listening to the owls, crickets and turkeys in the distance

No traffic. No noise.
You might not see or hear a single vehicle all day—just the occasional tractor in the distance.

Evenings are for the fire pit… making s’mores, laughing with family and friends, and soaking in that fresh country air.
