We celebrated this guy’s 50th birthday last weekend at Lakeshore Resort with his favorite things: family, friends, and fishing! Happy birthday (aka the mayor of Lakeshore Resort)!

I couldn’t be more proud of this guy. Cade Maginity just finished his first big project. He spent the last week sanding off multiple layers (I wish I would have taken an original before picture). This picnic table was nasty after sitting under our deck for the last 5-7 years Then he stained and finished this masterpiece. I’m such a proud papa of his work. Believe it or not…he didn’t even complain. I think he’s a natural woodworker. His great grandfather would also be proud.

It’s really starting to feel like a summer beach day. The slip-n-slide has made an appearance, we’ve had multiple standup paddleboard rides out to the island and back, bag games and adult beverages abound, and the freezers are full of fish. Kayaks, boats and pontoons are getting put to serious use. This is what summer is all about! “Come on in…the water is great!”
