This guest and another commented on the items in the fridge. That's what spurred my poem AND my wanting your point of view.
Part of me wants to react like one of my boys who asks what I think then says.....ya, I don't really care. (I won't mention his name but it rhymes with stolen 😁 ) But I also know that that doesn't make for a good host!
Having said that, most people who come stay with us don't really realize that it's our home that we are sharing, so we do have our things there.... to share. When we come stay, we don't want to go buy all the sauces, condiments, etc, we want to walk in and have things to use. That's ALSO why guests always comment how well stocked, not only the kitchen is, but the whole house! If we would want it when we stay, we know our guests will too! When you stay with us you'll have Kleenex, napkins, staples, spices, hair dryers, shampoo/soap, and too many more items to mention! Oh and yes, left over items in the fridge 💞

There's always alot of jobs that go on behind the scenes and stories that go with them! The upstairs king bed at Eight Brothers broke a few years back but with a couple of tries we got it fixed up very nicely.
This summer I had a guest text and say that the bed broke! I was first concerned about the nursing mommy and baby who were using it and second concerned that the bed was unusable but both issues were not issues, mom and baby were fine and the bed was usable!
But I was confused as to how things happened as I didn't have a visual. It shouldn't have broken as she explained it to me so I asked her to send pictures..... and then it was very clear! We had fixed up the bed to remain stationary and it would have lasted forever. However, the guests MOVED the bed as baby was in bed with them 💞 and it took away the stability and ended up breaking big when Mom sat on the footboard! Another reason I learned that you don't move furniture at a rental 🫤
Needless to say, the bed finally got replaced as I didn't think it was fixable after this! But, there was another life ahead for the footboard!
Thank you to my hubby who got the new bed in place, it's wonderful 😊

We do make time to enjoy this little mountain town when we are there and this place has been on my radar! Newly purchased, the kleeman house is knocking it out of the park hustling and making some noise. More to come on our next visit! This stop was quick, for a glass of wine and a fresh made sangria. We had a dinner date with some friends at another favorite 💕But, we did wait till there was a quiet moment to go visit with the bar maid, who is the manager. She was a gem, super friendly, and gave me the back story on the place. I assured her we would be back in September to snoop out the whole house 🏠👀❤️

The suggestions from this trip to the cherry 🍒 We have some work to do! The guests are our eyes 👀 and we appreciate knowing what needs fixing, added, or improved. Already to work on some and on the list with others ❤️

The lists begin almost immediately after we leave each trip home and grow until we go back again. It can be something that a guest suggested to items for our cleaning lady to supplies to something that needs fixed! There is always an ongoing list and a tote that catches everything that we need to take! Keeps me organized and drives my hubby bonkers 😏
