You Don't Always HAVE to Refinish Your Hardwood Floors

Not every worn or dull hardwood floor needs to be completely sanded and refinished.

In many cases, light wear, surface scratches, scuffs, and loss of sheen can be addressed through professional maintenance services such as deep cleaning, polishing, selective touch-ups, or, when appropriate, a maintenance coat of polyurethane.

Several times each month, I’m contacted by homeowners who were referred to me or who continued searching for another opinion after being advised by other flooring companies that a full refinish was necessary.

Quite often, the floor is structurally and cosmetically suitable for restoration through maintenance rather than a complete sanding process.
