We had a great joint meeting tonight with Eton Lodge No. 509 as we welcomed Grand Master William F. Shepard for his official visit to Dalton Lodge.

Before the meeting, WB Daniel Bennett, Past Wise Master of the Scottish Rite Valley of Atlanta Chapter of Rose Croix, had the honor of using the hall of Dalton Lodge to knight brother Moses Ingle as a 32° Master of the Royal Secret. Congratulations!!

The brethren and guests were treated to a fantastic meal featuring ham, chicken, potatoes, green beans, cornbread, pintos, mac and cheese, rolls, banana pudding, and lime coconut cake.

During the meeting, the Grand Master presented Eton Lodge No. 509 with the 7th District Traveling Gavel in recognition of their outstanding support and participation.

A special moment of the evening was the recognition of three generations of the Laster family for their continued dedication to Freemasonry. Pictured from left to right are WB Jack Laster (grandfather), Brother Josh Laster (grandson), and WB Speedy Laster (son). Moments like these remind us that Masonry is more than an organization — it is a family tradition built on faith, fellowship, and service.
