Today, our staff will be making their way around the campground, site by site, draining all of the water pipes as we prepare for the colder months ahead. 🥶

It’s just a little glimpse into the behind-the-scenes work that goes into maintaining Lake Pemaquid Campground. There’s a whole lot that happens behind the scenes to get everything ready for the off-season, and our crew is out there making sure it gets done!

📣 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS AT LPC! 📣

We get a LOT of questions throughout the season, so we thought we’d put some of the most frequently asked ones all in one place! Consider this your little LPC FAQ cheat sheet. 😉

Q: Do you have any seasonal sites available?
A: No. Unfortunately, we will not be accepting new seasonals for the foreseeable future. We know this is disappointing for those hoping to join our seasonal family, but our current seasonal sites are at capacity.

Q: Will entertainment, such as bands, ever be moved back to the Pavilion?
A: No. We’ve made the Doug Out our main entertainment location because there is significantly more room for both the bands and our campers. More room = more dancing, more seating, and more fun! 🎶💃

Q: Do you rent campers?
A: No, we do not. BUT there are many reputable camper dealers in the area who would love to help you find one to rent! 🚐

Q: Do you allow Jet Skis or other personal watercraft?
A: No. For safety reasons, we choose to keep Jet Skis and similar personal watercraft out of the campground’s waterways. We want everyone enjoying the lake safely! 🛶

Q: What do you do all winter?
A: Ummm… hibernate? 😂
Not quite!

We have 5 full-time, year-round employees here Monday–Friday answering calls and emails, handling reservations, completing repairs, maintaining the campground, planning for the next season, and doing all the behind-the-scenes work that keeps LPC running. Trust us… we stay busy!

Q: When are deposits due, and do you allow payment arrangements?
A: Deposits are due October 15th. We do not offer payment arrangements for the minimum deposit amount.

Once you’ve paid the required minimum by October 15th, however, you are more than welcome to call and pay the remaining balance whenever you’d like — even in multiple payments!

Q: Is the water at our site drinkable?
A: YES! 💧

Q: Do your showers cost money?
A: Yes! 🚿 Showers are $0.25 for 5 minutes.

We know some people wonder why we charge for showers, but imagine a campground this size providing unlimited hot water to everyone without charging for it. That would be an incredible expense! The small fee helps offset the cost of providing that hot water while keeping the showers available for everyone.

And there you have it! Some of the questions we hear most often. ❤️

That’s a wrap on our 2026 season. ⛺️ 🌲

To say “thank you” just doesn’t feel adequate enough, so instead, we’ll say this…

It is because of YOU that we get to do this.

Every person who chose to spend a weekend with us, every family who returned for another summer, every first-time camper who took a chance on us, and every person who made Lake Pemaquid Campground part of their summer memories — you are what makes each season successful.

Your patronage means more to us than you probably realize. Truly. We know there are countless places you could choose to spend your time and hard-earned money, and the fact that you continue to choose us is something we never take for granted.

This season had its share of ups and downs — thankfully, many more ups than downs! 😂 We learned, we grew, we celebrated, we problem-solved, and we were reminded once again that running a campground is never boring. There are always lessons to be learned, things to improve, and new ideas brewing behind the scenes.

We heard you, we listened, and we took notes. There are things we will carry with us into the off-season and things we will work hard to improve before you return next summer.

But before we close the books on 2026, we want you to know just how grateful we are.

Thank you for the laughs around the campfires.
Thank you for the memories made at the lake.
Thank you for the kids running barefoot through the campground.
Thank you for the golf cart parades, the music, the food, the late nights and early mornings.
Thank you for the compliments, the suggestions, the patience, and even the constructive criticism.
Thank you for coming back.
And thank you for giving us a chance if this was your first season with us.

Most importantly, thank you for making Lake Pemaquid Campground a place worth coming back to.

To our incredible staff — thank you for giving pieces of yourselves to this place all summer long. We know it isn’t always easy, and we see more than you probably realize. You are a huge part of what makes this campground what it is.

As we turn off the lights on another season, we’re leaving 2026 tired, grateful, proud, and already thinking about 2027. ❤️

For now, go home, rest those feet, wash the campfire smoke out of your clothes, and start counting down with us…

We’ve seen some chatter about the price increases coming next season, so we thought we’d take a minute to explain the why behind them.

The short answer? Everything has gone up.

Groceries. Gas. Propane. Electricity. Insurance. Labor. Maintenance. Supplies. Equipment. You name it — chances are, it costs more than it did a few years ago.

But the longer answer is this:

Running a campground of this size and magnitude is not cheap. And just because you don’t see an update or improvement doesn’t mean one isn’t happening.

A lot of what goes into maintaining and improving Lake Pemaquid happens behind the scenes.

Water lines are buried underground — you don’t see them.

Cottages on the private road may not be seen by everyone — but they still require maintenance, repairs and investment.

Kitchen equipment gets replaced and upgraded — even though most guests never see the equipment making their food.

Electrical work, plumbing, septic, roads, infrastructure, maintenance equipment, heating and cooling systems, grounds upkeep… the list goes on and on.

These are just a small fraction of the things happening behind the scenes that aren’t necessarily noticeable when you pull through the gate.

And then there’s the everyday cost of operating.

Gas prices have increased. Propane prices have increased. If you’ve spent more than a day here, there’s a pretty good chance you’ve seen our local propane provider making one of their many visits. 😉

Electricity costs money every time something gets turned on. Water costs money every time a faucet runs. Keeping the pool operating costs money. The hot tubs cost money. The campground’s equipment costs money. Our daily entertainment costs money. Keeping the grounds maintained costs money. Keeping everything safe, functional and ready for you to enjoy costs money.

So when you notice that your own grocery bill, electric bill, gas bill and overall cost of living have increased, imagine what those same increases look like multiplied across a campground of this size.

We understand that nobody loves a price increase. We don’t either.

But we also want to be transparent about why they happen. Our goal isn’t simply to increase prices — it’s to continue maintaining what we have, investing in what needs improvement, replacing what needs replacing and providing the experience that makes Lake Pemaquid a place families want to return to year after year.

There will always be things you notice.

And there will always be a whole lot more that you don’t.

We see it every day.

So, as you look at next season’s rates, we hope you’ll keep in mind that the price of running this place has increased right alongside the price of running your household.

We’re still working, still investing, still improving — and still doing everything we can to make your time at LPC worth it.

Tonight is your LAST NIGHT OF THE SEASON to see some of your favorite kitchen and store staff! 🥹❤️

Stop in, say hi, grab some food, do a little shopping, and most importantly… show these kids some love! They’ve worked their tails off all summer and tonight is their final shift of the season.

And just look at where life is taking them…

🎓 Jillian just started her junior year at UMO and will continue toward her criminal justice degree.
🩺 Maddy is heading into her senior year of high school AND just completed her CNA class!
🏈 Chadwick is onto his junior year of high school and taking on football this season!
🚗 Levi is embarking on his junior year of high school AND just got his driver’s license!

These young adults (and yes, some of us still insist on calling them “kids” 😂) are growing up way too fast, paving their own paths, chasing their goals, and taking names along the way!

We are so incredibly proud of each of them and grateful that they’ve spent another summer with us at Lake Pemaquid. ❤️

So come see them tonight, because tomorrow they’re off to bigger and better things… and we’re left wondering HOW DID THEY GET SO OLD?! 😭😂

Let’s face it—camping is 75% fun and 25% relaxing for a lot of us. For others, it’s 75% relaxing and 25% fun. And then there are those people who apparently believe camping is 100% a three-day party. 😂🏕️

We love seeing everyone having a good time! We’ve got the early birds who are up with the sunrise ☀️, the folks who are asleep before the sun goes down 😴, and the late-night campers who believe the campfire is actually a 2 AM storytelling venue. 🔥😂

But when we come into work to a gazillion noise complaints from the night before, we know somebody’s neighbors may not have been quite as entertained as they were. 😉

We want everyone at Lake Pemaquid to have fun, make memories, laugh way too loud around the campfire, and enjoy their vacation. Just remember that your campsite isn’t the only campsite in the campground.

If your neighbors are starting to wonder if you’ve opened a nightclub at your site, it might be time to turn the volume down a notch. 😂🔊

There’s room for the sunrise people, the sunset people, the early-to-bed people and the “just one more story around the fire” people.

Have fun. Relax. Make memories. Just remember there are other humans trying to sleep nearby. 😂🏕️
