It is with great sadness that we share the passing of one of our own, Kathy Killingsworth.
Kathy was truly a special part of the Anchor Down family. Kathy and her husband have stayed with us more than 20 times in just the last 5 years. If you stopped by her site for a visit, it only took a few minutes of talking with Kathy to realize that an hour had slipped by. She had a gift for making everyone feel welcome, valued, and loved.
Kathy loved many things in life, but at the very top of that list were her family, her friends, and her sweet dogs. Her sense of humor, kind heart, and welcoming spirit will be greatly missed. She had a way of leaving a lasting impression on everyone she met, and her genuine love for others was evident in every conversation.
Many of us will also remember Kathy for the way she always had a little something extra at her site. Whether it be a flag for the fourth of July, skeletons for Halloween or some extra orange sprinkled around on Game Day. It brought smiles to so many campers and visitors throughout the years. It was just one more example of the joy she loved sharing with others.
Kathy will be deeply missed, but her spirit and the memories she created here will remain a cherished part of the Anchor Down family forever.
Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends during this difficult time.
