Morotock Masonic Lodge No.210 AF&AM Meetings on second Thursday of each month at 7:30PM Most of the affiliations were dated August 23, 1866, and the charter was granted in December of that year.

Morotock Lodge No. 210 was chartered on December 12, 1866, about eighteen months after the close of the War Between the States. These were turbulent times in the South, its defeated citizenry feeling acute hardship at the hands of the occupation troops, the carpetbaggers from the north and the scalawags. In an effort to maintain some semblance of order and protection for local residents, a group of Vigilantes was formed. They were called the MOROTOCKs, after an Indian tribe in this area, which William Byrd, in his writings, described as a peace-loving tribe. Because of their close association during this trying period, the Morotocks decided to perpetuate their ties by forming a Masonic Lodge.
