𝐔𝐏𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐄 @ 5:00𝐩𝐦: Fat Albert just took off from NAS Oceana, VA. It is about a 2-hour flight once the Blues are airborne. If we get a Beach Buzz today, we’re expecting it around 6:50ish.

𝗢𝗕𝗔 𝗕𝗹𝘂𝗲𝘀 𝗔𝗹𝗲𝗿𝘁: The Blue Angels are expected to fly home today from their airshow at NAS Oceana, VA. We should see them in our area between 6:00 and 7:00 pm. We will update this post if we receive any additional information. Once the Blues are in the area, watch the comments on this post for updates on sighting locations.

(Later this week, the Blues will be flying out to the West Coast for a couple of weeks. After today, the next best time for a Beach Buzz will be on Monday, October 13th.)

As always, we never know their flight plan or if they'll give us a Beach Buzz, and if they do, what beaches they’ll buzz. In the past, they generally made their final turn around Perdido Pass. This year they’ve been making their final turn over Johnson Beach, skipping the Beach Buzz for most of Perdido Key and Orange Beach. Occasionally, they will Buzz the Beaches all the way to Gulf Shores, but that has been very rare this year. We just have to wait and see.

Thanks to everyone who's out watching for the Blue Angels from Navarre and Pensacola Beach for posting updates here in the comments when you see them coming. It really helps.
