Happy 13th Anniversary for owning the B&B to us today!!
We are truly grateful for all of our family, friends, and guests that have kept us going throughout the years. So a huge thank you to everyone for their continued support!!!! I always say the house was built in 1876 and I plan to take it to 2076 for the bicentennial! ( I’ll be 97 at this point, but hopefully just rocking away on the front porch, ha) Unless someone comes by with an offer I can’t refuse, that’s the plan for now.
We have a big party coming up September 19th and we hope to see you there!! -Zachariah

Y'all, I have got a surprise for you today. I recently spent the morning touring Open Gates Bed & Breakfast - and let me tell you, this place is a Southern storybook come to life!

Built back in 1876 and sitting right on the historic square, Open Gates has been lovingly restored and is now in the hands of owners Zach & Carrie Rath, who've poured their hearts into this home for over a decade. I got to peek into a couple of the guest rooms, hear about the renovations that brought this place back to life, and just soak in that wraparound-porch kind of hospitality.

With 5 beautifully appointed rooms sleeping up to 12 guests, Open Gates is the kind of place made for a girls' weekend, a family reunion, or - be still my heart - a wedding. Because yes, they host those too!

Our beloved home will turn 150 years old in September — and we’re getting ready to celebrate this incredible milestone! 🎉
