Aquilo House 5 bedroom, 4 bathroom, south facing rental villa situated in beautiful Hampton Lakes. A real "home from home" welcoming villa await your arrival.

5 bed/4 bath, south facing, air conditioned vacation rental villa situated in the beautifully maintained community, Hampton Lakes. There are 2 kingsize Master en suite bedrooms on the ground floor, each with 32" cable TVs and ceiling fans, USB sockets in each room enable you to charge your electronics whilst asleep. Upstairs you will find a third en suite bedrooms with queen size bed and 32" cable

TV, ceiling fan, and USB charging socket. There is a further two bedrooms upstairs, the first in a Mickey Mouse themed room with solid
wood bunk beds, the lower bunk being double in size. There is a portable cable TV/DVD player in this bedroom. The fifth bedroom is Winnie-the-Pooh themed and has twin sleigh beds and 32" cable TV, as well as a ceiling fan. The latter two rooms share a Mickey Mouse themed bathroom with bath tub, shower, sink and WC. Each bathroom has a hairdryer, the main master also has a set of hair straighteners and an ample supply of towels. In our laundry room as well as a washing machine and dryer you will find a large supply of beach towels for you to use around the pool area.

55" smart cable TV in the living room, DVD player with a selection of DVD's, i-pod docking station and additional USB sockets ensures you can charge your electronic devices easily. There is a fully equipped kitchen, and the dining room has seating for 8 guests as well as a high chair for younger guests to use. We also provide 2 strollers/buggys which can be found in the closet in the games room. Well equipped games room will keep you occupied for hours, or try out our pool or jacuzzi with 6 cushioned sun loungers and seating for 8 guests around 2 tables with umbrellas ensures ample comfort for all our guests. I am truly blown away by all the likes, comments, messages, phone calls and even flowers regarding our last post.

To hear you all love our vacation rental home as much as we do, and have so many precious memories from your time spent there means more than you will ever know to me.

I hope it goes to an amazing family who will love it just like we all do.

This is the hardest post I have ever written…

We have just returned from a trip to Aquilo House.

A different kind of one for us, with no DIY, no painting the pool deck or pressure washing, no purchasing new furniture or decorating themed bedrooms.

This trip was about making memories for us to last forever. We attended a family members wedding, swam with dolphins, took a trip to the Keys, done theme parks, went to ice hockey matches and had a proper holiday/vacation.

The reason being is that we were the last “guests” that would ever stay at Aquilo House…

Aquilo House belonged to my big brother Carl, he had always dreamed of owning a property in Florida. His dream came true in 2012 when we both went out to view houses and fell in love with the first one we walked into, and Aquilo House was “born”.

Carl became ill in 2019, and sadly passed away last September.

I would like to thank everyone who has put their faith in us by staying at Aquilo House, a lot of you on more than one ocassion.

We feel honoured to have had the opportunity to manage Aquilo House on Carls behalf, and privileged to have made amazing lifelong friends along the way. We will not forget any of you.

Florida holds a big piece of our hearts… we will return, one day to make some more memories. xx

This trip is all about making memories for us…
We decided to jump in our car and head south to the Keys. We hadn’t booked any accommodation and would just stop when we found somewhere we wanted to stay 😳

We turned left out of Hampton Lakes and stayed on the US27 till we got to Miami 😳 then found the US1 which goes the full length of the Keys.

We stopped at Marathon, roughly halfway down the Keys to make this our base. Total journey took 6 hours including a quick stop for food and loo break.

By the time we arrived,found somewhere to stay, checked in, unpacked, we went for something to eat and drink then went to bed.

The next morning we were woken up by the sound of a cockerel 🐓 and quickly learnt they are loads of them throughout the keys just roaming freely.
Once showered and dressed we jumped in the car and headed to Key West, found somewhere to park and walked around, before heading to a beach side cafe for some lunch. More chickens walked through the cafe, I don’t know whether they were on the menu 🫣 but we did order some chicken tenders 🤣
After walking round a bit further we jumped in the car back to Marathon for a guided tour of the Turtle Hospital. We found it very informative, and got to see 45 turtles in there. Some will be released back in the ocean once they are well enough, but others suffering from “bubble butt”, will spend the rest of their lives there, as they have air under their shells meaning they can’t swim underwater or dive properly making them easy prey.

We stopped at Barnacle Barneys for our evening meal and a keylime pina colada, which was a delicious pine colada with keylime pie added to it. Then retired for the night.

Up early the next day to pack and head back to Aquilo House.

The Keys are beautiful, the ocean is an awesome array of colours dotted with kayaks, boats, jet skis and swimmers. It has a real holiday vibe about it, and well worth going if you have a few spare days. It recharges the batteries from all those days in theme parks.

We have only gone and done it… won the league.What a fitting tribute to my big brother Carl. He would of loved this ❤️

This trip is all about making special memories for us.

Yesterday, newly weds Jeni & Martin treated us to THE best day ever, a VIP swim with Dolphins experience at Discovery Cove.

This is something we’ve wanted to do for a while now, but kitchen and bathroom refurbs always took priority, along with making Aquilo House the best we could for our Aquilo-ites.

This is one day I will remember for the rest of my life. The whole day totally blew us away, from meeting our sassy dolphin Ipa, with her cheeky personality, to having our very own Cabana, which included a wonderful host called Trista.

2 years ago Jeni, (my OH’s daughter), surprised her BF Martin for his 40th Birthday, with a trip to Aquilo House with us. Obviously she had to tell him prior to going.

In turn, Martin surprised Jeni, by proposing during that trip on the beach at Siesta Key. I hope you are all keeping up.

Fast forward to today, we are all here again, this time joined by Martin’s daughter, Lois, to attend their wedding.

We have had an amazing day at The Secret Garden in Longwood. Anyone think of doing the same, I would highly recommend getting in touch with Gary, as he made the 5 of us feel so welcome, and although our party was small and intimate, is was just right.

Our blended family just got and little more blended ❤️

It’s official…. I’ve just heard from MCO, that Boris made it through security, and boarded a flight to the North Pole late last night. He even wangled a seat in business class after a chat with the pilot 👨‍✈️
