The transformation of Disney Springs is incredible! 😲

It's hard to believe this all started back in 1975 as the Lake Buena Vista Shopping Village, just a small group of shops for resort guests. Over the years it became the Walt Disney World Village, then Downtown Disney in the late 90's. Shoutout to the Pleasure Island days! 🎶

And now it’s the Disney Springs we know and love. Today it’s over 120 acres with more than 150 shops, restaurants, and entertainment spots. It’s crazy to see how much it’s grown and changed, but somehow it still has that same Disney magic. ✨

Disney World Opening 3 New Experiences This Week for Summer

Walt Disney World is rolling out three new and returning experiences this week, with a strong focus on families visiting this summer.

From new character interactions to kid-friendly offerings, these additions are designed to create more engaging experiences for younger guests, including the highly anticipated debut of Bluey.

GoofyCore returns to EPCOT for its second summer on May 26. This is a Goofy-themed takeover of CommuniCore Hall, the flex space that opened in 2024 at the center of World Celebration behind Spaceship Earth.

Goofy and his squad of cast member helpers play games with guests, kind of like the ones you remember playing in P.E. class growing up or during indoor recess. During the preview, Goofy brought his limbo stick and invited us to join the line.

This is just one of a few different experiences geared towards kids. We got an early look at all three experiences and are sharing what to expect, plus a first taste of some of the new food offerings.

We were very lucky to experience this with our lovely friends The British Snowbirds it is an awesome way to see the fireworks.

Watching the fireworks from Seven Seas Lagoon has to be one of the most special things we’ve done at Walt Disney World. Pure magic.
