That’s a wrap for Winter 2026 ❄️☀️ — saying our final goodbyes to Sunshine View.

What a visit it’s been… from the coldest weather in over 100 years to those stunning clear blue skies and beautifully warm days we love so much.

We’ve loved welcoming Stitch to Sunshine View and getting stuck into all the behind-the-scenes jobs — decorating, maintenance, painting — everything that helps make our guests’ stays extra special.

There’s been plenty of exploring too… from Savannah, Hilton Head, Charleston and St Augustine, to unforgettable moments spotting so many manatees at Crystal River and an amazing day at Kennedy Space Centre 🚀

Out resident Sandhill Cranes have two chicks—also called “colts”—again this year! It’s been so fascinating watching them in the retention area today, running around and exploring their new world.

Did you know?

• Sandhill Cranes are one of the oldest bird species in the world. Fossils dating back 2.5 million years have been found right here in Florida, meaning they lived alongside mammoths and saber-toothed cats.
• They mate for life—once they find their partner, they usually stay together forever.
• Their wingspan can reach up to 7 feet!
• Florida Sandhill Crane colts can leave the nest and even swim within 8–24 hours of hatching.
• They are listed as a Florida state-designated threatened species due to habitat loss and vehicle strikes.

It’s also important to remember: it is against the law to intentionally feed, harm, or harass these beautiful birds.

We’re lucky to have them here—please enjoy them from a distance and help keep them safe 💛

It’s Wednesday… so that means Wing Wednesday at Miller’s Ale House!

Nothing beats a midweek treat, and this is one of our favorite traditions:

🍗 Dozen wings for just $12 – perfect for sharing (or not!).
🥨 Bavarian warm pretzel served with rich beer cheese and mustard dip.
🍔 Cue Bacon Cheeseburger – juicy beef, melty white American cheese, peppered bacon, crispy tanglers, and bold BBQ sauce packed into every bite.
🍺 An ice-cold beer to wash it all down and make the night even better.

We always try to grab a seat out on the patio—the vibe is great with music playing, sports on the TVs, and that relaxed atmosphere of people chatting and catching up with friends. It’s the perfect way to break up the week and enjoy good food, cold drinks, and great company.

Hakuna Matata Moments at Disney’s Animal Kingdom 🦁✨

One of my absolute favorite things to do at Disney’s Animal Kingdom has to be Festival of the Lion King.

Located in the Harambe Theatre in the Africa section of the park, this vibrant show celebrates the music of The Lion King with incredible live singers, dancers, puppetry, acrobatics, and even fire dancing—all inside a large air-conditioned theater (which is always a bonus in Florida!).

The audience is split into four fun sections—Lion, Elephant, Giraffe, and Warthog—and everyone gets involved by making their animal sounds throughout the show. It’s even better when a member of your party is picked to help lead one of the sections—this has happened to us twice now, which makes it extra special and memorable!

Hearing classics like Circle of Life, Hakuna Matata, and Can You Feel the Love Tonight performed live makes it such a magical experience every time I visit Walt Disney World Resort.

If you’re heading to Animal Kingdom, this show is an absolute must-see! 🦁✨

It’s strawberry time in Florida again! 🍓

Take a break from the theme parks and enjoy a true local experience—visit the Florida Strawberry Festival in Plant City. Enjoy live entertainment from fantastic groups and bands, family-friendly attractions, and of course… fresh strawberries everywhere!

Or just go strawberry picking and enjoy fantastic, large, sweet strawberries straight from the field.

Don’t forget to treat yourself to the famous strawberry shortcake—it’s a must-try this season!

Make sweet memories and taste the best of Florida. 🍓

Just finished setting up this adorable Stitch-themed twin bedroom and I’m obsessed with how it turned out! 💙✨

From the cozy twin beds to the playful tropical touches and pops of bright blue, this room feels fun, relaxing, and full of personality. Perfect little space for our younger guests.

Details matter — from the bedding to the wall décor — and I love how everything came together to create a space that feels both cute and comfy.
