I have no personal experience of what I am sharing, I have (today) checked all our ESTA’s (7) which are all passport photos and they are all still saying “Authorization Approved” so while I am sharing - my advice is just check before you go and always print a copy!

✈️ Travelling to the U.S. on an ESTA? Please read 👀

‼️ This is REALLY important ‼️
U.S. Customs & Border Protection are cancelling approved ESTAs if a passport photo was uploaded instead of a current selfie 📸

📷 Your ESTA photo MUST be:
✅ A clear, recent photo of YOU
✅ Taken specifically for the ESTA application
❌ NOT a photo of your passport bio page

⚠️ What you need to do NOW:
✔️ Check your ESTA status before travelling
✔️ If it’s been cancelled, reapply immediately
✔️ Do NOT leave this until the last minute

🚫 Incorrect ESTA = no boarding your flight ✈️
Please double-check your ESTA is valid and correctly completed before you travel 🇺🇸

If you’re planning a trip to the United States, here’s what you need to know:

💵 The ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization) fee will increase from $21 to $40 starting Tuesday, September 30, 2025.

✅ Submit your application before September 30, 2025 to pay the current fee of just $21.
❌ Applications submitted on or after September 30 will be charged the new fee of $40.

We use a platform called Wise for money transfers and I highly recommend it if you’re sending funds over. (‼️We are not authorised to give financial advise so this is based on our own personal experience‼️)

For our UK guests, the GBP to USD is now at $1.37. The highest it’s been in four years.

If you have a booking its also a great time to pay money towards or pay your full balance. Let me know if you would like to do this.
