Things went a little off piste towards the end of our stay. The temperatures plummeted to -6 one night, and it lasted for 3 days. We have had to protect our delicate plants as they are not used to this weather. When you can't buy garden fleece, you have to improvise. So we used beach towels and plastic bags to protect the most vulnerable plants. 🤞 Here's hoping that this has protected them. We then experienced our first Ice Hockey match with friends at the Kia Centre in Orlando. It was such a brilliant day, and the game was so exciting. The home team, the Solar Bears, beat the South Carolina Stingrays. Go Bears. It is worth a visit if you can fit it in, the tickets were a reasonable price. So that's the end of our most recent trip and we are looking forward to coming back very soon.

Well, we've been here for a couple of weeks now, so I thought I would give you a little update. After the normal indoor painting and shampooing of the carpets. We had added a new bed to the master suite. To our poolside, we now have a lovely rattan style, outdoor sectional and some coloured solar lights. It really is relaxing sitting with your drink in the morning, watching the wildlife. I've actually managed to read a book this visit! We have also had time to relax, we met up with great friends and neighbours here and had a few glasses of wine and amazing cocktails. On a cooler day, we venture to Blue Springs State Park to see the beautiful manatees. It's well worth going if you are here in the winter. The day we went, they had counted 900+. We've also been on a boat trip around the chain of lakes at Winter Haven, to celebrate a friend's special birthday, followed by a wonderful meal at the Harbourside.

Review we received in September from returning guests.

Paradise Palms

Myself and my family stayed here in September 2025 for 2&1/2 weeks. First of all the booking process was really smooth, direct with the owner and Linda is so friendly and approachable . Nothing was too much trouble. The villa is in a secure gated community which was under an hours drive from MCO quite straight forward with accurate and easy to follow directions. The house was actually nicer than the amazing photos and definitely didn’t disappoint . We were beyond impressed. Especially with the sheer size of the place which is not fully appreciated looking at the photos. It seemed that everything was carefully thought out and we didn’t want for anything. Plenty of towels (including beach/pool towels. Plenty of bedding and extra pillows if you need any. The kids loved the games room and the crazy golf at the club house. Hubby loved the clubhouse gym but my preference was the hot tub ! We opted for pool heat at the villa which made evening swims extra special and the pool lighting in the evening created an amazing atmosphere. Not that I did much cooking but the kitchen is very well equipped. Toasters, sandwich maker, abundance of crockery including plastic stuff ideal for the pool area. Home from home. Big supermarket publics 5 mins just down the road and if you’re heading to the ‘parks’ they are all within a 30min drive. The villa is immaculately clean and the attention to detail is evident. Sat having a morning brew looking over the conservation area and a deer came out to graze. Unfortunately, I made so much noise shouting everyone that I scared it off the first morning. I like to think when it came back it had forgiven me but clearly the grass outside was lush and worth another go ! Have stayed in quite a few villas nearby and this one for the price trumps them all !! Thank you ! We are definitely coming back !
