The locals were out in force this afternoon. In order, small medium and large - guessing (as I don't have a tape measure in my golf bag and didn't want to get too close 😉) about 4, 6 and 10 feet. Thank goodness for zoom!....3 gators matched by 3 birdies.

An eventful trip so far. Instead of a 7 hour layover in Philly the kind AA lady at the transfer desk got me on the soonest flight down to MCO. Cue a sprint through the terminal to the gate. Everyone boards apart from 2 ......the Captain and FO 😁 Still in the air from Pittsburgh. So another crew scheduled for Vegas took us to Orlando. An hour late after all the neck breaking to make it. All well that ends well and now happily at the villa. Our happy place.

"Florida is no longer in the cone". What's been great news for us has been devastating for the Bahamas. Got to take these storms with the respect they deserve but so glad we won't get what the Bahamas got. Not sure what they did to deserve Dorian stalling over the islands to wreak havoc. A close shave for Florida, life changing for the Bahamian people 🙁

11am update: Dorian has been downgraded to a Cat 2 storm as it continues to devastate Grand Bahama. It is moving NW at 2 mph. So the NW motion continues and the forward speed is beginning to increase. Florida no longer in the cone. Looks like the strongest winds will stay offshore. Still, surge, coastal flooding and beach erosion will be the biggest threat. First NW, then NNW, then N, then NNE then NE. This is the process Dorian will go through as it will slowly move AWAY from Florida. This is a good thing. The impact on the Bay Area will be minimal.

Dare we say the latest track looks a little more promising? The easterly shift may be better for us and Florida but still a dangerous storm likely to hit somewhere.....

'What's on your mind?' suggests Facebook... well hurricane Dorian for a start....Our guests scheduled to be staying, cancelled close to arrival on medical advice so we know they are safe back in the UK! Hoping we dodge this storm....
