Summer is going out with a BANG here at Canaan Valley Resort! Join us tonight 6-8 pm on the plaza at Quenchers. Soda Pop Gypsies will be playing all of your favorite tunes while Quenchers will be serving your favorite beverages. Wind down your summer with a scenic chairlift ride this weekend, open Friday, Saturday and Sunday till 5pm. See you on the mountain!

Just because there’s no snow on the mountain doesn’t mean the work stops.

All summer long, our Snowmaking and Mountain Operations crews have been hard at work preparing the mountain for another incredible winter at Canaan Valley. From maintaining equipment and infrastructure to tackling projects across the mountain, there’s a lot happening behind the scenes to make sure everything is ready when the temperatures drop.

A huge thank you to our mountain crew for putting in the work now so our skiers and riders can enjoy an awesome season ahead.

Winter will be here before we know it!

Ready for 10 miles of Tucker County adventure?

Join us for a full-day trek beginning at the historic coke ovens, passing the incredible Douglas Falls, and following the North Fork Blackwater River through some of the area’s most unique scenery.

This one-way hike covers 10 miles with approximately 1,290 feet of elevation change and an average hiking time of around four hours. Pack your water, lace up those hiking boots, and get ready for a day on the trail!
